As a broker early in my career, I saw a gap in the type of investment management service available for the wealthy compared to average investors. That led me to find a new way to help people with their investments.

The Mutual Fund Show® first aired in 1998, initially only in the Kansas City area. But my ability to de-mystify investing with common-sense, everyday language was received well. Today, a nationwide audience listens each week in more than 60 cities across the country.

Prior to the radio show, I created The Mutual Fund Store®, an independent, fee-based advisory service firm which helps people in all income brackets build wealth. My role for clients of The Mutual Fund Store—developing recommendations for their investments—is a perfect complement to what I do on the radio show: I get to help people achieve their investment goals.

Over the years, I have realized that I continue to come back to 10 broad principles of investing. I share these with you in my book, The Bold Truth About Investing.
